Aquin kicks off the first LawCard®-Forum on February 14 in Frankfurt, Germany. This series of expert panel discussions is designed for investment compliance officers and risk controllers and will be held in regular intervals in Germany and Luxembourg in future. With roundtable discussions revolving around hot industry topics such as eligible assets, REITs, this forum is designed to stimulate information exchange and discussion on unresolved interpretation issues as well as on best practice approaches within the investment compliance officer community.

Swiss Life Funds AG in Lugano implements DVS from Aquin

In September 2006, Swiss Life Funds AG (SLF) undertook an analysis how they can improve their IT landscape to support the current and future growth of the business and to reduce the operational risk of running self-developed applications or data storages. SLF decided to implement DVS from Aquin Components GmbH as a central data hub and data storage solution. SLF is already successfully using MIG21, the investment compliance and operational risk framework from Aquin Components. Swiss Life Funds AG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Swiss Life Holding. It is a fund management company for investment funds under Swiss law, licensed and supervised by the Swiss Federal Banking Commission.

New Liechtenstein LawCard LI-IUV released

The new Liechtenstein IUV LawCard is released. The LawCard LI-IUV is based on Liechtenstein's IUV investment company regulation (23 August 2005) and covers the investment restrictions defined for investment companies in articles 37 to 55 and article 56 to 62.

Raiffeisen in Austria monitors investment guidelines with MIG21

Aquin won RSC Raiffeisen Daten Service Center GmbH in Austria as new MIG21 customer. RSC will implement MIG21 and MIG21 Reporter for monitoring investment guidelines of Austrian investment law. New MIG21 LawCard® for Ireland

As of today, Aquin can offer our UCITS III LawCard® for Ireland to customers. It covers the chapters 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority (IFSRA) "UCITS Notices" document and also implements the advice given in "Guidance notes for collective investment schemes 2/03 & 3/03" The MIG21 LawCard® for Ireland is the result of many months research and development. Aquin`s customers in Ireland also played an important role in helping Aquin define some of the more vague rules. This LawCard® is designed to be so flexible that in the case of rule which has different interpretations a customer can parameterise the rule to meet their company's own interpretation of the rule.

DVS User Forum Update

Aquin Components, leading provider of reporting for mutual and institutional funds, organizes regular user forums as platform for information exchange and networking for DVS customers. At this year`s DVS user conference held in February, Aquin demonstrated the DVS roadmap and new features and product innovations to our Swiss and German DVS customers.

The brand new DVS benchmark module allows DVS users to define and retrieve and store complex benchmarks using the out-of-the-box ValCalc-language of DVS. Additionally, many add-ons concerning report generation were presented to the audience.

Aquin thanks all speakers and participants for the very open discussion and information exchange and is looking forward to next year`s user conference.
